Giro di Montelbano review

Written by Team Blund at 13:24 2/7-2014

First tour of the season finished. And it was a tour of ups and downs for us. We had ambitions for the GC with Markus. He was only one place behind the Argentinian who eventually won, before the TT-stage. So with a good TT, he could definately have been up there. However he was unlucky enough to crash and get himself injured.

The upside was that we had our other riders performing top notch. Jordon had a great day on his bike during the TT. He felt great and if it wasnt for some mechanical issues, we feel certain he would have won. His great performance in this stage secured him a top 9 in the GC, which we and himself are absolutely thrilled about.

Last, but not least, Kolstad finished at a great 3rd place in the TT stage, also leading him to a 5th in the YC. Andreasen also finished at a respectable 8th in the TT. Injuries do happen, so all in all a good tour for us!
